Florida Bound!

This is just one of several pictures my biking buddies sent to me to let me know they were missing me. The feeling is mutual!

It was wonderful to be home and surrounded by family and friends as we celebrated the life of my mother. My mother will always be missed and never forgotten, but is definitely in a better place and some day we will be together again.
And now it is time to re-join my new found family and friends. Tomorrow I fly into Pensacola, FL and they bike into Pensacola. Because they are all crossing a state line, tomorrow night (Tuesday) will be another margarita party; I am certain that flying over a state line counts too, so I can join in. The sweeps cleaned and lubed my bike so they tell me I'm ready to go. I've missed the Forever Flyer and I'm sure it is a bit tired of riding on top of the van and will be happy to have its' wheels touching pavement again.
Because the bikers had one very short day and one day of rest while I was gone, I only missed approx. 200 miles; and for that I am happy. My very smart nephew suggested that I could make up the miles; like maybe bike an extra 40 miles a day or so. I'll take that under advisement!
On a personal note, I'm sure the other bikers are going to be very jealous of me...I got a hair cut, painted my finger and toe nails and even got to shave my legs! The conveniences of home!
Time for bed...my flight leaves at 6:25 a.m.! Stay tuned for the rest of the journey!
