San Diego to Alpine, CA was a difficult ride...but I'm here! The mileage was minor...the traffic was horrific. If you have ever driven on San Diego freeways, picture us biking on it! The mountains were plentiful, we climbed almost 2,000 feet, with the mountain just before the hotel being 3.5 miles in length! (Sorry pictures are out of order...learning curve on blog!)

What beautiful scenery! Looks like you started out with a smile on your face and happy to be there. Good work! John and Sharon
ReplyDeleteWhen I go for a hard run or ride I like to think of this quote from an author who runs ultra-marathons (100 miles or more), "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW!! What a ride!" Wow to you!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job Mom. So proud of you. It was great to talk to you tonight.
